Senator Wash 11/26/2017

I made a quick run to Mexico to pick up my new eye glasses yesterday morning.  Nice to not be looking thru all those scratches! I also stopped at a casino and left with an extra $27! Not a lot but paid for 1/2 a tank of gas. I did a short birding walk after getting back. Short because it was already in the 80's and that is a bit warm for me. The high temps will drop to mid 70's this week. I did add 1 more species to my list for this location a Bewick's wren. I went for a birding walk early this morning. I have been a bit apprehensive about tramping thru the brush around the lake as there are wild burros out here and I was not sure how they would respond to my intruding on their turf. This morning I finally got to see some!
They kept an eye on me and kept a safe distance away. A few minutes later I cam across a coyote. It did not allow me to grab a pic of it! In addition to seeing the burros and coyote, I also added a new bird to my life list, a Forster's Tern.
That makes 40 new species added to my life list this trip so far! To see today's complete list with a number of pics, click here: Senator Wash ebird list for 11/26/2017

  1. That's quite an accomplishment to add 40 species to your life list.
