Summer in the Florence area

I have not posted for a couple months as I have not been moving about much. What I have been doing is dining on the bounty of wild foods available on the coast. Dungeness crab, surf perch, Chanterelle mushrooms, Miner's lettuce and a variety of berries. I have also been enjoying reconnecting with many of the people I met while volunteering in the Oregon Dunes!

Yesterday I drove north along the coast to bird along some rocky areas. Walking along the rocky beaches I enjoyed the colorful sea creatures such as purple and orange starfish and sea mint green  anenomes.


It's easy to take for granted the beauty of Oregon. It is good to take a moment to reflect on the good fortune of living in such a diverse and beautiful area!
