Twin Lakes, Bridgeport, CA

 Spent 3 days at a beautiful creek side campsite at Twin Lakes! Surrounded by large pine trees and a crystal clear stream running along a back of the site.

 

Just upstream from the campsite is Lower Twin lake. To the west are rugged rocky mountains that really stood out in the morning sunrise.

Yesterday evening a small group of Mule deer ran thru the campground and foraged on  along the road!

Tonight we are at Lake Diaz near Lone Pine, CA. This area is most famous for the Alabama Hills were Hollywood has made dozens of movies. There is a film festival this weekend and the streets were packed. Tomorrow we head to Newberry Mt RV park in Newberry Springs just east of Barstow. We will be there 2 days then on to Lake Havasu State Park for 10 days.

Silver City RV Resort

 We are staying in Minden just south of Carson City. The plan was to stay in a park near Washoe Lake but it was closed because it was ravaged by a forest fire several weeks ago so a change of plans! At $75 a night, it is a bit more costly than I am used to but it is very nice with a pool, rec room, hot tub and a small store. Our site has full hookups so it will be easy to empty tanks before moving on. 

 

 Great weather with a beautiful sky. Looking forward to a dry warm winter!

Back on the road!

After 3 years of wet Oregon winters, I am heading to AZ for the winter. This trip I am accompanied by Amy! Our first 2 days were at the Kalamoya Casino near Chiloquin then over to the fairgrounds at Lakeview for 2 days! These lastv3 days have been at the Honey Lake Campground. Electric and water hookup sites are under $30 a night. It offers free showers, a store and a launderette. I feel like we have the best site at #1. We have wide open views to front and 1 side!

Nice view of Honey Lake which is across the road. Tomorrow we head south towards Carson  City! Weather has been great with highs in 80's and low's in 50's. Not sure what route from there. We'll decide in a couple days!
