Twin Lakes-Bridgeport-CA

I only spent a couple nights in this area. The first night I spent in Twin Lakes RV campground. $35 for full hookups, showers and wifi. The second night I crossed the hwy to one of several USFS campgrounds that were only $11 with my senior discount. They had paved roads and campsite with several clean pit toilets. This is a beautiful area with crystal clear streams and pine forests. I would have like to stayed longer but temps were going to drop to low 20's. I decided to head further south!

A view of the lower lake
Robinson Creek that flows out of the lakes.

Lots of wildlife including these two little bucks. They were content to graze by the road and ignore all people and traffic.
I was walking along the stream looking for birds when I spotted a number of these colorful fish.
Turns out the Kokanee were spawning. They are a land locked sock-eyed salmon. Hence the spawning colors! Then of course there are the birds.
 California Gulls
 Evening Grosbeak
Mountain Chickadee
